Nyasa Big Bullets injured goalkeeper, Vincent Gona is a free agent and can be signed by any club, it has been revealed.
Gona has revealed that his contract with Bullets expired, clearing the way for other clubs to sign him.
“It is true that I don’t have a contract with Bullets, my contract expired on 15th April this year,” said Gona.
‘If I will be offered a contract and go through it, we can discuss”.
Bullets’ deputy head of finance George Ndindi despite having no contract with the goalkeeper, but there is an arrangement made to take care of the player.
“We can say that he we didn’t offered him a new contract, but there was an agreement with his relatives that we will take care of him,” explained Ndindi.
Ndindi further revealed that Gona is being paid salary and other allowances just like any other Bullets player.
Gona is expected to under-going medical operation at Beit Cure International Hospital due to his hamstring injury.
The operation requires about K3.6 million.
Meanwhile, Ernest Kakhobwe, who was bought from Azam Tigers FC has replaced Gona as the club’s number one stopper.
