Nyasa big Bullets will date military side Moyale Barracks in the Presidential Cup finals after beating Salima-based soldiers Mafco FC3-0 at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday.
Moyale have reached the finals after beating Mighty BeForward Wanderers 1-0 at Mzuzu Stadium.
The finals will be played on July 16, 2016 at in Lilongwe.
Khuda Muyawa’s goal won it for Moyale while midfielders Henry ‘Magetsi’ Kabichi’s goal and Mike Mkwate’s brace were enough for Bullets to oust and thwart Mafco from defending the cup.
Mkwate, who scored in each half, was also decorated with the man-of-the-award.
Mafco failed to utilize their scoring opportunities with forward Richard Mbulu being worst culprit.
At one point, he failed to level the score line after he missed a penalty to the disappointment of their followers, mainly ‘ganyu’ supporters.
Wanderers is the only team to have won the national showcase twice, including the inaugural competition in 2009.
Bullets and ousted cup holders Mafco have won it once apiece while Moyale are gunning for their maiden title.
