Mighty BeForward Wanderers miseries continued over the weekend when the team were held by Karonga United on Sunday at Mzuzu stadium.
It was a game with tempers as both sides fight for maximum three points.
In the first half Nomads controlled the game but missed a lot of clear cut chances as Chimwemwe Kasambala goalkeeper for KARONGA did what he knows best on goalkeeping.
Second half Be forward made double change bringing in Amos Bell and Jafali Chance to beef in center and upfront, but yield nothing as Ingwina of Karonga change playing system as dominate almost seventy percent of the whole second half thank to Peter Munthali Nomads goalkeeper for good coordination with defenders and clear some dangerous balls.
The game ended goalless as Chimwemwe Kasambala formerly Mzuzu united and Chilumba barracks goalkeeper voted man of the match.
Nomads team manager Steve Madeira was sent off from the technical bench as referee gave him a matching card for talking tough to the fourth official.
“We underrated our opponents which is not good at all because all teams in the league are same,” said Madeira.
He promised to turn things around.
While Karonga team chairman Chipanga Banda praise his side for holding the Blantyre giants.
“As we already said we are here to stay and this time we want to finish the league on position seven, thank to our boys they play a game to entertain people as we go Karonga will bring results of winning.
“We are now with one point that’s a starting point we are going back to plan our next game which is Bullets, this time Ingwina of Karonga will show miracles to those who don’t believe” said Chipanga.
Nomads are expected to play the lion’s of Kaning’ina Moyale Barracks at Mzuzu stadium later on today.
