Dwangwa United have become the first team to reach quarterfinals of the Presidential Cup after beating Rumphi Pirates 4-2 on Tuesday.
The match was played on Tuesday at Chitowe stadium in central district of Nkhotakota.
Dwangwa booked the ticket for quarterfinals berth through goals from Jack Chiona, Chifundo Tawiha, Onesmus Mbendera and Patrick Macheso while Rumphi Pirates scored through Kondwani Mhone and Tonic Viyuyi.
And action continues today, Wednesday, May 18 2016.
At Silver stadium, there is a third regional play offs match involving Silver Strikers, widely known as the Bankers and Malawi Police side Blue Eagles, who are TNM Super Leagie leaders.
