The ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) today (Tuesday) summoned its garrulous Mulanje South Parliamentarian Elias Bon Kalindo a week after he was chased from the party’s rally at Limbuli in Mulanje district.
Kalindo was summoned for a disciplinary meeting at the party’s head offices in Lilongwe after he went on a media war with the party as his half-naked demonstrations in the capital city of Lilongwe a fortnight ago is still causing divisions within the party.
There is no immediate comment from Kalindo and the party at the moment about the meeting, but sources told Malawi Punch that the party’s top officials grilled the Parliamentarian cum comedian who is stopping at nothing in challenging the party in public.
Kalindo was forced to go into hiding as the party’s blood-thirsty cadets started hunting for him for staging half-naked demonstrations without consent from the party which he represents in Parliament.
DPP is a party synonymous with thuggish killings with one well known case of Polytechnic student Robert Chasowa who was killed in September 2011.
