About 38 Malawians who were on their way home from South Africa, are currently stranded after they bus they were traveling in broke down, Malawi Punch has learnt.
Making the situation worse is the fact that the owner of the bus has since gone into hiding, leaving the stranded Malawians with no option as they ponder on their next move on how to get to Malawi.
According to confirmed information, the travelers have been stranded for over a month after their bus broke down on the East Rand.
The owner of the bus, believed to be a Durban resident, has gone to ground and is refusing to answer his phone.
And the bus driver fled following the breakdown of the vehicle in Benoni last month.
