Security was called to detail at Kamuzu Palace yesterday after a dangerous python snake was found within the premises of the country’s Presidential house.
The incident happened while President Peter Mutharika and his wife Gertrude are outside the country. Mutharika left for Ethiopia to get an honorarily Degree from the University of Addis Ababa.
The snake was found within the premises of the Presidential House and attracted attention of the armed security officers and State-House officials who did not hesitate but called for Wildlife rangers who managed to capture the dangerous creature.
No-one was hurt by the snake, according to State House officials who indicated that, despite the reptile becoming a social media talk, it is not strange for such creatures to be found within State House premises considering that the buildings are within a heavily populated forest.
