Police in the country have for the past two days been on congratulation zone for arresting the suspect in the murder of Evangelist Shadreck Wame.
For the past two day, Malawians have been expressing their gratitude to the police for bringing in book the murder suspect who brutally killed the evangelist almost two months ago.
The suspect, who was late evangelist Wame’s housekeeper identified as Limbani Maliro was arrested in Thyolo.
National police spokesperson James Kadadzera confirmed the arrest of the suspect days ago.
Evangelist Wame was killed in his residence in Salima last month. His body had deep stab wounds.
Kadadzera said Maliro, who was arrested on Friday, is being treated as the prime suspect.
Activists had earlier accused the police of ineffectiveness following the delay to arrest suspects connected to the murder.
He has been on the run since death of the CCAP reverend preacher.
The suspect is currently in police custody and has been charged with murder case.
