Malawi Punch sources from the state house have tipped us that President Mutharika is not feeling well. The source said that the President’s physician Dr Magomero advised the president to refrain from public appearance for three weeks, until he is fit to move.
Following this the president cancelled all public events scheduled for this week and last week. including touring Lilongwe and opening of a Sugar factory in Salima. The factory in Salima will be opened on Monday the 15th depending on the doctors recommendation.
The source who opted for anonymity further disclosed to Malawi Punch that among other evenrs Mutharika was supposed to attend was the ordination of Mzuzu Bishop
and Zomba Blantyre road opening. Illness forced the president to stay at state house.
All these are due to the health grounds of our president the State house source continued to say that the President’s major impairment is hearing and walking. APM can hardly hear he said, he has got lazy legs and he carelessly lose balance and fall.
Roman Catholic Bishops visited Mutharika yesterday at Kamuzu Palace to see him on hearing about his health, after he failed to attend the ordination of the Bishop due to illness and discuss other pertinent issues affecting Malawi.
