Former People’s Party (PP) spokesperson and administrative secretary Kenneth Msonda has expressed interest to contents as DPP MP in the 2019 general election in Rumphi East, a constituency currently under Kamlepo Kalua who is also PP third Vice President for the North, Msonda said he is ready to fight for the seat.
In his speech at Masintha Ground in Lilongwe during a political rally organized by DPP,with the aim of welcoming the new members to the party whom Malawians label recycle politicians, Msonda said he was glad to be welcomed in DPP rank and file.
Msonda join the ruling DPP together with fired Zomba Ntonya PP member of parliament Patrick Makina, Clara Makungwa , Jones Chingola, former organising secretray Salim Bagus, Professor Etta Banda, Prof Isaac Lamba,Wamkulu Nchauta Khumbo Chirwa,Henry Mumba and Shabani Mchizi.
This comes amid speculations that Nsonda pocked MK12 million Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to join the Party.
Meanwhile people in the country are expressing their anger on social media,claiming that the recycle politicians are the problem to development and the plunder of government resources.
