Chiponde has however advised Malawians to tip his department if they have an idea of anyone staying in the country illegally.
“Issues of illegal immigrants are a global issue and we urge the general public to come forth and tip the department of immigration of any person when they suspect of staying in this country illegally because usually these people may be stealing some of the positions which Malawians can occupy so we urge them to come forth and tip immigration” explained Chiponde.
Meanwhile, the Immigration Department Deputy Spokesperson has advised Malawians travelling outside to observe immigration laws of countries they are travelling to inorder to avoid the embarrassment of being deported back home without anything.
