Inter-cape Bails Out Stranded Malawians

38 Malawians who were stranded in South Africa for a month after their bus broke down have arrived in Malawi.

During their stay along the Road in Benoni a woman gave birth to twins but one child has died.

Inter-cape stepped in to help the stranded after they were asked by the Malawian high commissioner in South Africa.

The company has spent over MK4.5million on food,transport and accommodation for the group and it says it has done that on humanitarian grounds.

The travelers became stranded after the owner of the bus they were traveling in went into hiding after the bus broke down.

The bus broke down on the East Rand. The owner of the bus, believed to be a Durban resident. And the bus driver fled following the breakdown of the vehicle.
