High Court Orders Savala To Make Submissions

The High Court in Lilongwe has given 48 hours to defense team representing Cashgate convict Caroline Savala to make written submissions before the court proceeds with its sentencing.

Fiona Mwale the high court Judge issued the order on Thursday as she was supposed to give her sentence on the convict who was found guilty of stealing government’s money amounting to K84,000,000.

Justice Mwale pointed out that she will not entertain any favored adjournments on the case as it has been delayed for a long time.

The defense council Davie Lameck who appeared on behalf of lawyer Raphael Kasambara was grateful with the court decision.
