It never rains but it pours for former Justice Minister Ralph Kasambara who has been delisted from practicing law in all courts within Malawi.
The development means that Kasambara cannot represent himself or his colleagues in the current Cashgate-related cases including the former Budget Paul Mphwiyo’s conspiracy to commit murder charges.
Kasambara’s name is among those of lawyers that have not made it on the list Malawi Law Society (MLS) has released for accredited lawyers in the country as of May 1st, 2016.
Kasambara owns Ralph and Arnolds Law firm.
MLS President John Suzi Banda said the listed lawyers are the only ones who are allowed to handle legal matters in courts of the Republic of Malawi.
Kasambara is answering charges of attempted murder of former budget director Paul Mphwiyo together with Pika Manondo and MacDonald Kumwembe.
