It is of no surprise why he chose to sing about miracle money; he knows of what is in store for him. On Friday prophet Shepherd Bushiri spoiled gospel music artist Onesimus (formerly Armstrong) with a brand new 1.5 million rands (about K72 million) Mercedes-Benz GLE400 as a birthday present.
Onesimus, born Sopani Kalua, celebrated his 27th birthday on Friday and could not hide but to flaunt on social media the special gift from his ‘spiritual father’.
The 2016 GLE400 4MATIC SUV is worth a whopping US$75,170.00. And Onesimus, Bushiri’s acclaimed son posted pictures and a video of his new car on Instagram captioned: “A birthday gift from my father @shpherdbushiri GLE400 Brand New, Am so grateful”.
Onesimus, who is now one of the emerging preachers and Bushiri’s apprentice at Pretoria-based Enlightened Christian Gathering Ministry, seems to be living quite the life in South Africa since he joined Bushiri.
The South African based Malawian prophet Bushiri has been the main topic of conversation on social media following his rise from rags to riches in a short period of time. He now boast of owning a TV channel, mansions, mines, posh cars and private jets, to making hefty donations towards different causes in Malawi.
The ostentatious prophet of the Enlighted Christian Gathering ministry, who is usually referred to as “Major 1” or “Papa” by his followers, is rumored to be worth $150 million, owning fleets of vehicles, houses, farms in Malawi, South Africa and other African countries, has hit the headlines by being a father figure.
Bushiri was recently accused of having a hand in the death of gospel song-bird, Grace Chinga who died a month ago after a short illness.
