Head teacher at Chifira Community Day Secondary School (CDSS) in Nkhata-Bay, Tinkhani Singini and his deputy Ngwile Banda are under fire for forcing students to pay K3,000 as school fund.
Students at school have since started demonstrating against the decision.
Tolesa Jackson who is the head boy of the school said the students do not understand why they were forced to pay an extra K3,000 as development fee when tuition fees already include development
Many form four students did not write their mock examination due to failure in paying the demanded money.
“We have agreed that the protest march will continue until the two authorities are pushed out of the school because they are the cause of the problems that we are facing here,” said Tolesa
However Singini and his deputy are defending themselves, arguing they do not know anything about the development fees.
