Fears have started gripping the Malawi Nation Examination Board (MANEB) of possible leakage of this year’s Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examination after some of exam papers including Biology practical paper and Physical Science have been found in hands of candidates before the examination initially started.
MANEB officials have confirmed of the possible leakage but remained tight-lipped as to how it has happened after intensifying anti-cheating campaigns.
Over 150, 000 candidates are expected to sit for this year’s examinations which started on Wednesday 22nd June up to July 20th, 2016.
MANEB was optimistic that this year’s MSCE examination will have minimal cheating cases and complaints.
MANEB Public Relations Officer (PRO) Simeon Maganga said they had been conducting anti-cheating campaigns to curb the malpractices.
Maganga said the campaigns have shown to be effective during the primary school and Junior Certificate examinations this year.
